Pamela Hall of EPS Corporation
EPS Corporation is a Small Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Tinton Falls, NJ. EPS provides the best in professional services, supporting the federal government and its military and civilian agencies located worldwide. Being that EPS is a small company, each member of the team wears many hats. For Pamela Hall, Business Development Leader of EPS, one of her favorite hats is social media and marketing – of which she says she knew very little before she took part in the Digital Blueprint Certificate program offered by the ASBDC New Jersey at Brookdale Community College.
“My skill level was extremely low upon starting my education with the ASBDC in January 2013, but I learned along the way from Lisa Kanda, Social Media instructor and consultant, that no matter how little we feel we know about social media, we know more than most and we now have the knowledge to realize that!”, said Ms. Hall.
Pam continues on to say that, “I have been able to share my skills amongst my company’s division leaders as well as fellow employees. It has become a large part of our strategic marketing which in turn has saved on the marketing budgets. I also manage the Business Development department which has come leaps and bounds with my new knowledge of LinkedIn and the social media platforms. Learning that spending a mere 10 minutes per day, or a minimum of 30 minutes per week is quite an effective way to manage your time for social media as well as planning out your future posts on a strategic marketing calendar. Optimizing employee profiles and summaries on LinkedIn has also been a great help within our marketing strategy, as well as following and sharing company information.”
