The NJSBDC at Brookdale Community College Client Highlight for July
Amanda Munice, owner of Manda’s Music Together, first was in contact with America’s SBDC of New Jersey at Brookdale Community College in March of 2013 as a Sandy impacted start-up.
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grown-ups who love them. Using the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum, Music Together believes in the power of music, that every child is musical and can learn to sing in tune and move with accurate rhythm. Young children learn through play and experimentation, as well as by watching and listening to the grownups they love. Parents do not need to have musical skills – they just need a desire to play and have fun with their children! Together classes provide a true family music experience, siblings can attend the “Mixed Age” classes together.
NJSBDC client highlight update:
Amanda now has now opened 3 locations in New Jersey and, as of this fall, she increased her client base from 21 families to 50 families.
According to Amanda,
“I feel that the guidance from the SBDC counselors at Brookdale Community College helped me focus, which lead to my business really progressing. I’m now also in the process of hiring my first consultant teacher (independent contractor), so I am also creating employment opportunities”.
